The photo was taken before 1927 and Tom Henry Aston is standing outside, probably with his eldest son Sidney. The Lodge was built in 1811 (Geoff Waygood, - The New Regard, No 19, 2004).

Graham Turner added (March 2025): "... Mr bedroom is top left. Lit by one of the 13 oil lamps in the house. Eighty years later I still have mine!"
