Thanks to Royston Pritchard for the following (Jan 2007): "The occasion was the opening of the Bus Shelter at The Dilke Memorial Hospital in memory of the coronation of H. M. Queen Eliazabeth II in 1953. The ladies are members of Coleford W.I. (Womens Institute) and Bilson W.I."

Ruth Howes added (August 2010): "... The matron in the front row is I believe my mother Mrs Winifred Kirby. I have a photo of her in this costume in a Cinderford W.I. production. She was not a nurse".

Simon Wood added (November 2011): "... The Matron No. 61 is definetly Miss Dorothy Pirie. Miss Pirie was a great friend of my Mother Nurse Gittings and we were in contact years after she retired and met her years ago in Brighton where she had retired too".

Adrian Whitmore added (Sept 2013): "... no 12 ... is my great aunt Enid Healey nee Whitmore and her father was Arthur Whitmore who ran the water board in the Forest including Green Bottom pumping station".
