Andrew wrote: "The top photo is of a shiny fire engine when the fire station was on Belle Vue Rd next to the then council offices with the Palace Cinema in the background. This photo was donated by Arthur Edwards who was Chief Fire Officer and owned and ran the hardware shop that stood where Lidl now is".
Left photo: "The commisionaire is I believe Mr White outside the entrance probably on a saturday morning matinee judging from the direction of the shadow".
