Ruth Reed added (July 2011): "... No 6 standing behind the sofa is Mrs Allott wife of Vic Allott who taught at EDGS. I went to primary school with her younger daughter Christine. No 9 far right is my father Eric Dawson who is now 91 he used always to play older men and put flour in his hair. He must have been in his late 20's. My mother Maud Dawson nee Worgan was at that time the prompt for the Mintec Players. She was an ex pupil at EDGS. The players would after the last night have supper in the domestic science room at EDGS. As small children as a treat we were allowed to watch the last performance. I remember standing on a chair in the back of the hall near the wall bars".
