Paul wrote (Jan 2006): "The gentleman on the right is Harold Stephens, The couple we are not sure of their names , can anyone help with the location, occasion etc. Harold Stephens is my wife's and brother in law's grandad. We think the date is roughly 1955-1965 approx. I think after speaking to my father in law (also called Harold Stephens), that the pub was The Royal Oak, bottom of Dockam Road, Cinderford. The couple are Mr and Mrs Macey, who we think were the landlord and the landlady, occasion unknown".

David Stephens (son of Harold) wrote (Mar 2009): "The pub was the Royal Oak but it was in Littledean Hill Road and the occasion was the quantity of pints
that Mrs Macey could carry in one go.  She could hold three pints in each hand which was an unusual quantity to carry altogether".
