Cinderford Co-op, Edward Withers.

Cinderford Co-op c1910
Pat wrote: "... I enclose a photo of my grandfather, Edward John Withers (son of John and Ellen Withers of Gatcombe, Blakeney born 1887, died 27-11-1917 at the battle of Cambrai in World War I). On the 1901 census he is shown as a grocer's apprentice, aged 13. He worked as manager at Cinderford Co-operative and Industrial Society shop. He married Elsie Lottie Peacey on June 23rd 1914 at the church of St Stephen in the parish of Woodside, Glos. Edward and Elsie had two sons Horace John (born 20-4-1915), my father, and Sidney James (born 5-3-1917)".
"My grandfather is in the middle of the photo. It would be wonderful to find out who the two lads either side of him were. I'd also welcome any contact from ancestors (Edward John was one of ten children)".
The wooden devices in the doorway are 'dolly tub' plungers.
