A parade through Cinderford

Cinderford Parade

Caroline wrote: "... I have scanned the attached postcard in the hope that someone might know when this event in Cinderford High Street occurred and what it was for. I believe it may be in the early 1900's. I found the postcard with photographs belonging to my mother, who was born in Cinderford in 1911, I do believe however that this photo predates that. It would appear to be a grand occasion, so out of pure curiosity I would love to know what it was!"

The parade seems to consist entirely of ladies and girls (at least 40) dressed predominantly in white. Can anyone help?

Robert Harris added (June 2010): "... possibly a parade for baptist the chapel to their tea party at the rugby ground".
