Peggy Ryland added (September 2012): "... Mrs Colwell was a lovely lady and always smiling. Myself, Mother, and Grandmother went to the pictures on a Saturday every week. Mrs Colwell as the years went by never changed. I remember watching the Day of the Triffids, when I came out of the cinema it was dark and raining. She was just leaving the Palace, gave me one of her smiles, whilst I hurried to the bus stop to get the bus home to the Point Inn on Plump Hill. Those memories never fade away!".
