Point Quarry near Fetter Hill in the Forest of Dean.
Taken from on top of the Point quarry looking down on the railway line and road. The Cotswolds can be seen on the horizon.
Bob Smith added: "... I remember going chestnutting down there many times with my Mum and Dad when I was small . The railway line was still in place in those days and my Dad used to scare me and my sister as he would throw his shoulder against one of the massive boulders that were lying about the top of the quarry and tell us he was going to push it down onto the railway line to derail the train but seeing as those rocks probably weighed a good few tons each Dad never managed to block the tracks :)".
