Marconi Memorial stamp cancellation

Laura wrote: "... They're about the official stamp cancellation by "Poste Italiane" commemorating the monument built by the Italian prisoners in 1944 and dedicated to Guglielmo Marconi".
The monument was at Wynol's Hill, near Coleford (now Queensway, Coalway)
Graham Page added: "... In the 1950 I stayed at the camp where this monument was still standing and actualy climbed up the central tower.I was working at the Carter's Ribena factory in Coleford where students were employed over the summer. The camp itself was complete and intact and we lived in the POW huts and used all the old facilities. Even the barbed wire fencing was still up the only difference from the 1940s was that the main gates were left open".
