The Buffs met at the Crown Inn at Coalway which is where this photo was probably taken. The Buffs later moved to the "Britt" (Britannia Inn) at Coalway.

Fred's son, Harold Williams, kept the Bird-in-Hand at Broadwell until October 1967. Harold T Kear was the Jeweller in Gloucester Road, Coleford
