John wrote (December 2007): "This photo came to me from an ex pat living in St Albans via Dave Hawkins. Dave thinks this was taken in the mid 30s. The background is not of Berry Hill – possibly taken on an away fixture".
Back Row (Row 3): 1? 2? 3. Jim Cooper.
Second Row (Row 2) 1? 2? 3 Ivor Jones, 4? 5? 6? 7? 8? 9?
Front Row (Row 1): 1.Ted Hawkins 2.Bill Short 3? 4? 5? 6? 7?

John Ambry added (October 2011): "... I think this team is probally a Forest side. If you look at a photo on your site of a Yorkley side of 1935 many of that team are on the one named as a Berry Hiil side of 1930".

Mark Rodway added (March 2016): "... I would suggest that the venue is Kingsholm, Gloucester, check out the photo taken (of both teams) for Gloucester’s Golden Jubilee match against Captain Donne’s XV played on Thursday 13 November 1924".
