Len Crosse in High St Bream

A photo of the old 'tin' shop formerly located just below the Rising Sun Inn in High St, Bream. Len Crosse the butcher is on the left. The building was split into 2 shops. The shop fronts faced the High Street and the cricket pitch.
We think that the boy may be a young Ken Davis who later became the village Chimney Sweep.
'Unknown' added (Feb 2008): "... this shop later became a wet fish/greengrocery
run by Pat Lewis in conjunction with a mobile van service for both products.
The van registration number I remember for some sad reason was NFH 2.
The 'shoe shop' visible next door was run by Riley Lewis, presumably Pat's father?".
Later the shoeshop was run by Mr Lenigan.
Eventually the whole building caught fire and was burnt out around 1978.
