A hand-coloured slide produced by A J Lumbert. The war memorial shows that the photo post-dates WWI. Behind the memorial are the Lydney Almshouses.

Julie Mollyneaux added (November 2018): "... The almshouse on the far right was where my grandparents Mr and Mrs Stanley lived. My father Clive Stanley was born there in 1933 and he was the youngest of five. The other children were Kenneth, Basil, Marjorie and Hugh."
