The Bream S. James Cricket Club has started upon it's second
season. The officers elected areas follows:-
President Sir James Campbell, Bart;
Vice-President, Treasurer, and Captain, the Vicar;
Vice-Captain Mr. Frank Camm;
Committee, Messrs. Charles Brice, William Camm, Frank Camm, Richard Jenkins,
Tom Jones, Joseph Kent, Frank Phillips, Fred Phillips, Harry Preest, Warren
Watkins, and Albert Wilkes.
Mr. Miles, Noxon Farm has very kindly placed a large field at the disposal
of the club. Matches with the following clubs have already been arranged :-
June 16, Coleford, at Coleford,
July 7, Redbrook, at home,
July 21, Lydney (2nd Eleven), at Lydney,
August 11, Redbrook, at Redbrook,
August 18, Coleford, at home,
Sept. 6, Lydney (2nd Eleven), at home.
The South Forest Sunday School Teachers' Association will hold
its Anniversary Meeting at Bream, on Thursday June 14, when the order
of proceedings will be as follows :-
1.30 p.m. - At the Schools, prayers, report and business.
2.0. - Training Lesson, by Rev. R.H. Cantley, the Deputation from the Sunday
School Institute, followed by questions and critisism.
3.0. - Tea
4.0 - Discussion on "Sunday School Organisation", to be opened by
Rev. W. Taprell Allen.
5.0 - Service in Church, with Sermon by Rev. J.P.A. Bowers, Diocesan Minister.
