| This
is a great photo probably from just after 1930. Remains of the foundation
can still be seen. It is thought to have been used for pulling drams
of waste from Princess Royal Colliery to the top of the spoil tip in
the background. These were hard times in the Forest. Notice the boy at
the bottom has no shoes Thanks to Mrs Brown and to Brian James for seeking out this historic photo. Thanks also to Barry Adams and Trayci Adams.
