Glenice wrote (June 2007): "...the lane I remember from the Green by the Royal Oak to the school known as School Lane - the house to the right was I believe the master's house.
Thanks to John Marchant who added (Sept 2007): "The house to the right was indeed the schoolmaster's house originally. It then became the home of poet F. W. Harvey. The lane is now called Harvey's Lane in his honour".
