The
Nag's Head Pub, Stables and Coach House, Yorkley in 1944. The person
in the
photo is Stan Birt who had just been demobbed.
Stan, who still lives at the cottage next door to the Nag's, says
that Yorkley Star football team used to train in the top half of the
stables. He said that the buildings were demolished around the late sixties
early seventies because they were unsafe.
Joanne Leach added: "Stan ... died on Sunday 2 October 2011 aged 89".
