Valerie Willis added (January 2011): "My mum and dad rented two rooms in the house on the right Station Villa and it's where I spent the first nine months of my life".

Rev. George E. Lawrence describes a similar scene in "Kindling The Flame" (1974) with the cows making their way back from a grazing field near the 'Pin Factory' to a field opposite Whitecroft Mill.
