Roger wrote: "The Forest Of Dean Youth Brass Band was formed in the early sixties. The County Council youth officer for the Forest, Jack Gratton, along with Cecil Chapel and other band conductors, set about forming the Youth Band. All forest band youths were free to join whatever their standard or ability.This photo was taken in The Miners Welfare Hall, Cinderford around 1960".
