Sylvia wrote: "... you had a photo on the web site of Ruspidge carnival 1947. In the background on the Lorry was the carnival Queen and her attendants. Here is a photo of us outside the Memorial Hall waiting to board the lorry. My photo says it was 1946. They would not have had those head dresses 2 years in a row surely?. I can't remember all the names.
From the front,, the boy I think is Hicks son of a professional photographer on Buckshaft Road, Queen is Jean Dicks, Killed on her pushbike coming home from Double View School one afternoon. Teenage attendant 1 ? Small attendant ? Teenage attendant 2 ? Sylvia Jackson, Rosemary Pritchard, Dorothy Partridge.
