Burrows of Parkend and his wife in their De Dion car. Des who is a descendent
of Richard Burrows has a copy of the registration document - which gives
the following details : Index Mark : AD 340 Name & Address of owner : Richard Burrows, Parkend, Nr Lydney. Description or Type of Car : 6 H.P De Dion Type and Colour of Body of Car - Tonneau body, Primrose colour. To carry four persons. Weight Unladen : 10 Cwt 34 Lbs Date of Registration : 11th June 1904 This must surely be one of the earliest cars in the Forest of Dean |
