Graham wrote: "Years ago, 1959 to be exact, I was a student at Lydney School of Art from where we were taken to paint at the Lydney dockside. The photo attached is the original sketch done in 1959 at the dockside. A fair amount of input from our tutor at the time Handel E Protheroe! ...it does however show the scene as it was at that time with unladen barges moored alongside".
