Boy at front:
On the back of the photo it says "Formed in 1923 by Mr M. E. Childs the band was known as 'Lydbrook Junior Reed and Brass'. This must be one of the first photographs of the band but not sure of the date but in 1933 it was the 'Lydbrook Onward All Brass'. Neville Barnett one of dad's best friends was playing a Reed in this photograph (top row far left) from 1925 he was Principle Cornetist so this photo must be 1923-24. Up until war broke out (1939) they went all over the country and up to Crystal Palace (before it was burnt) winning cups."
Thanks also to Wendy Mattera (nee Jordan).
