Wendy wrote (August 2007) "This photo was taken outside Lydbrook Church after the crowning of the May Queen, Pauline Morgan. She was crowned by Mrs. Prime , the vicar's wife. In the photo there are the choir boys, Frank Miles, Ralph Brain, Michael Brain, Colin Paddock, Campbell Baldwin, Graham Lewis and Gerald Morgan. The two attendants were Pauline Gwatkin and Jean Lythaby. The page boy was Billy Smith. The churchwarden was Mr. Chris Evans.
The May Queen from the previous year was Marian Brain , the cross bearer was Brian Morgan, Joan Everall represented the Sunday School , and Wendy Jordan presented the bouquet to Mrs. Prime".
