Phillip Meyers added (May 2010): "...Most of row 6 were in the X stream - lads like myself that took a '13 plus' exam to do technical subjects to prepare for apprenticeships. Jones, Fern, Meyers and Sleeman all played 1st XV Rugby under the eye of Mr Goddard, leaving in 1967 with GCE 'O' Levels. I lived in Lydney 1963 to 1967 then went to Bristol. I took 'A' levels then went to Shoreditch College and qualified as a Metalwork teacher. Thanks Ivor Brown for showing me how to do it so well. When I qualified I taught in New Zealand".
