can be seen that in 1956, parking was not a problem in Coleford.
The tower originally formed part of an octagonal chapel. The chapel was demolished
in 1882. The cross to the left marks the site of the altar.
Richard Young added (November 2009): "... photo has to be slightly later as the car immediately to the right of and behind the saloon in the foreground is an Austin A40 Farina. Production of this model began in 1958".
