Centre Mr Leaning Headmaster, On the right The Headmistress. She taught Chemistry, On the left Mr Qaule (not sure of spelling) His nickname was Caddy he always wore Plus Fours Golfing trousers. He taught Science. He originated from the Isle of Man. Next to him Mr Margharrison
Thanks to Tana Burdon who also added (Jan 2008): "The head Mistress was called Winifred Turner she was a female Deacon in the Church of England and lived in Berry Hill".

Vanetta Harries added (November 2010): "... The physics teacher was Mr Quale (correct spelling). He was rather intimidating and we never ever misbehaved for him. We all took our education seriously with all the regular tests and exams being revised so we could get a decent result.
The annual Gilbert and Sullivan musicals were a highlight with the changerooms being a tight squeeze in the old town hall. We spent hours in rehearsals with Mr Margerison (correct spelling) taking on the role of director.
Perhaps there are photos in the newspaper archives or old school records of the performances.
I trained as a primary school teacher at Westhill College in Birmingham then flew to Australia where I taught for 25 years in Victoria. I taught at the zoo in Melbourne and at the childrens hospital then worked with adults with intellectual disabilities for 10 years. I now live in Hamilton Western Victoria. Im retired but spend a lot of my time volunteering within the community traveling gardening learning and teaching a variety of crafts and photography plus swimming which was always my preferred sport. We called the chemistry teacher Winnie. She always walked at a fast trot with her cape flying. I think she was also a deaconess at the church...Rumour had it that she had been a missionary in darkest Africa".
