Roger Brown added (January 2011): "... I still have (this) photo and occaisionally puruse same and dream about the old school and times I spent in the Forest . I lived at the Barracks went to Parkend Primary and then EDGS. I left school in 1962 and worked for the Forest of Dean Stone Firms until 1965 , went to London to work until 1970 and in June of that year I came to Australia where I have been ever since. My brother David who lives in Melbourne informed me about your website ... . By the way I remember Elam Ward and his wife quite well , and a few of the other characters and places that you have illustrated.
