Mr Green was the headmaster, he actually lived in Lydbrook. Soon after he retired he went to live in Kings Stanley. Raymond Griffin thinks that the year may be 1961, the year before this class moved on to the secondary schools.
Ex pupils may be interested in this comment added by Mrs Pat Britton (Oct 2006) "My father Leon Green left Steam Mills School to become Head Teacher of Leonard Stanley C of E School. He retired in 1983 but is still living in Leonard Stanley and is still well and active. He is 85 years old".
