Terry wrote (March 2008): " I found this brass disc recently in the area. It's possibly a hauliers disc which was fitted to the bridle on the side of the horses head. The tickets were found inside a book: a miner's pass and a ticket I guess for Mr E Edgington to exhibit his business?.
