Wendy wrote (Sept 2007): "Sorry, I have no information about this photo.It must have been taken in the early 1950s ; we lived in Lydbrook and my father refereed for local teams, sometimes going as far as Ross. It may be a team from that area, but I really know nothing about it".

John George has given more information regarding the Mitcheldean team (October 2007):-
The team is the Mitcheldean first team circa 1948 they were playing at that time in the North Gloucester League Division 2.
He asks "does anyone know where the 11th player was?"
