Broadwell post Office

Courtesy of: A Forester. Uploaded: .
The writing on the building is Broadwell and Lane End Post Office. The date is believed to be in the early nineteen hundreds
The photo was taken from somewhere in the church grounds looking along North Road towards Mile End. The church is about 50 yards from Broadwell cross roads. The Bird In Hand is about 100 yards further along North Road but out of sight around the corner.
Jan Easter added (March 2011): "... this is what became of my grandparents home. Part was rented out and the part on the lower right became a haberdasher type small shop. Tea towels and towels I remember were sold there. Several families lived there and my mother and I lived there just after the 2nd world war later moving to the new prefabs further down road Baynhams Walk. Worcester Walk I seem to recall the road being renamed before we moved in 1954".
