John added: "... The other players are friends of Vince Hoare from the RAF or St Pauls College, Cheltenham. Stuart Perkins was a lecturer at Lydney Art School; he still lives locally. I was a student there at the time. That wasn't a bad team. We had some real ding-dongs with Yorkley, Lydney Old Boys and Cinderford Utd in the F.O.D Combination Cup".
David Pace recalled: "... I had been in the RAF for about 2 months and came back for the Boxing Day game and scored a try if I remember correctly!"
Vincent Hoare added "... Bob Hoare (no relation) and Ivan Southwall were two players that I introduced to Bream RFC from St Paul's College, Cheltenham".
