Malc Norris added: "... Albert Johnson, Lance's father was a brilliant organiser and the kids at Hillside were volunteered each year to take part in the Bream carnival. I can remember having to wear a Kilt on one float - much to my annoyance as to me it was a skirt!. Mrs Kate Phillips helped a tremendous amount with the costumes and dressing the kids.
