Gerald sent a newspaper cutting with this photo:
"There were nearly 50 entries for the baby show competition arranged by Mrs R Penn, Mrs L Morris, Mrs I Griffiths and Mrs R Paxford and judged by Sisters Cann and Hancock from Westbury. Champion baby of the show was Clive Damsell who was the first prize winner in the up to 1 year class, Adrian Reed being second Allister Grossett third, Roger Davies fourth and Elizabeth Evans fifth. Other results: 1-2 years 1- Gerald Phillips, 2 Barrie Havers, 3 Lydia Holmes, 4 Gillian Virgo ...".
